PROJECTS & PLATFORMS
Immersing UA&P Students to the World of SCM
SCMmerse
SCMmerse is a job opportunity expo open to ALL UA&P students, featuring a career fair with various media and marketing companies in the Philippines, as well as a leadership forum with industry executives. With UA&P students' goal-orientedness, this gives younger students a fun experience in the corporate world and directly gives career opportunities to graduating students.
Forging SCM Legacy through Service Beyond UA&P
SCMDifference
SCMDifference: “Stars Created to Make a Difference” is an outreach project in partnership with a Youth NGO and in collaboration with Communitas that aims to help equip out-of-school youth with practical knowledge, such as core UA&P values, good citizenship, and proper communication skills, the SCM way. This is a way for SCM students to share knowledge gained from UA&P to children who need education the most. This is open to ALL SCM students, from 16YP to those in the Master's program.
Spotlight and Platform for MEM students
MEMento
MEMento is a digital repository that aims to serve as a “legacy portfolio” site, featuring remarkable production projects by MEM students such as music videos, advertisements, and short films. Students will be credited according to their roles, allowing them to have substantial proof of their experience. This is open to submissions from ALL MEM students, to be evaluated by the SCM faculty. With proper discussion with SCM, this can also be directly linked to their official website.
Exhibiting IM and EM Excellence through Collaboration
EMINENT IMPACT
EMINENT IMPACT is an academic collaboration competition for SCM's Integrated Marketing (IM) students and SMN's Entrepreneurial Management (EM) students. A 3-day fair will be held in USC where EM students have to manage the business, while IM students have to promote the product/s. The group with the highest profit and engagements at the end of the competition period wins.
Rebuilding the UA&P Connection Bridge
U&I Connect
To help UA&P student organizations promote their projects beyond social media and allow UA&P students to stay updated with events, bulletin boards will be deployed in the most active areas in the school such as the main entrance gate, USC, and Prom A. These will be available seasonally, where organizations can post physical promotional material of their project.

TESTIMONIALS
Berna, in Communitas, is a testament of how one can be so passionate in serving with excellence through creativity. Her devotion to the work that she does is seen from the effectiveness of her innovations, especially in considering the people she serves with and for. Both as a friend and a colleague, Berna served as the root of encouragement, support, and persistence towards shared goals in continuous service and companionship. Her leadership, vision, and hard work is an example that I personally take inspiration from.
I wish for everyone to experience Berna as well, to see just how much a person's drive can encourage and uplift others towards Unitas.
Alliyah Samaniego
President 2025-2026, Communitas
Having worked closely with Berna in multiple organizations- most especially Communitas, the home organization of the School of Media and Marketing, in which she has served for years- I have personally witnessed her reliability, work ethic, and integrity. When she commits to something, she sees it through. She has a genuine dedication to service, and has been since the very start. She shows up and consistently works tirelessly behind the scenes without asking for recognition or praise. She is the kind of leader who takes on responsibilities and carries them out with excellence and accountability.
Which is the mark of a true SCM student. The mark of a true leader. Berna does not just represent SCM; she embodies all four core values of being passionately human, fiercely truthful, insanely creative, and obsessively strategic. Crimson blood truly runs through her veins.
Allison Suarez
President 2024-2025, Communitas
Berna listens, serves, and, most importantly, shows up.
Having worked with Berna in both our shared academics and organizations, I can confidently say she is a leader the UA&P community needs.
From our conversations alone, I can attest that she prioritizes the needs and concerns of the community above anything else, driven purely by genuine passion to serve.
I firmly believe that her sincerity and willingness would translate into real effort into building a more supported, united, and engaged SCM community. After all, she is a leader who reaches out. A leader we can trust to make everyone's voices matter.
Sophia Puray
President 2025-2026, Dulaang ROC
Working with Berna in Communitas and seeing her growth in SCM's home organization has been nothing but truly remarkable. I really admire how she's articulate with her ideas and intentional about the manner in which she puts these ideas into motion.
Whenever things become overwhelming in the organization, she is the first person I know I can turn to. I believe that her passion for making a difference and legacy for the school is what fuels her willingness to help others and step up when it matters most.
This is why I know she would be an excellent fit for the USG, she is deeply committed to serving and representing the school.
Rai Reyes
SCM Commissioner, COMELEC & Creatives Head, Communitas
I met Berna when she joined our CTL production team as an intern. She was one of the youngest in the room, yet she carried herself with a quiet confidence that made her easy to trust. From the start, she showed up with initiative—volunteering, staying a little longer when needed, and quietly making sure everything (and everyone) was okay before calling it a day.
What stood out to me was that her effort never felt performative. She wasn't trying to be seen. She was trying to contribute and make things better. She asked questions because she genuinely wanted to understand, and she stepped up because she genuinely cared
In SCM, the strongest work always starts with understanding people—not just the need to produce something. Berna leads the same way. She listens first. She considers impact. She puts people at the center. And to me, that's the kind of leadership SCM deserves.
Mika Velasquez
Senior Intern, CTL Prod Team & Graphic Design Head, UA&P MMC
Having worked with Berna through ROC and CTL Prod, I've had the opportunity to witness her dedication and work ethic firsthand. She is incredibly diligent and committed to her responsibilities—so much so that even when circumstances aren't ideal, she finds a way to get the work done (even working from the guardhouse when needed).
With her determination, reliability, and strong sense of responsibility, I am genuinely looking forward to hearing her platforms for SCM.
Ten Escara
UA&P MMC Graphic Design Head & CTL Prod Senior Intern & Internal Vice President, Dulaang ROC
For the past two years that I've had the privilege of working with her, I've witnessed firsthand her growth, dedication, and unwavering commitment to serving others. She truly has the passion, integrity, and drive to create something meaningful and impactful. What sets her apart is not just her ability to listen with empathy and openness, but also her courage to speak her mind when it matters most. She knows when to step back and understand different perspectives, and she also knows when to step forward and advocate for what is right.
Over time, I've seen her grow from someone who once followed directions into someone who confidently leads with purpose. Her journey reflects resilience, self-awareness, and a genuine desire to improve-not just for herself, but for the people around her. She doesn't seek leadership for recognition; she embraces it as a responsibility to uplift others and make positive change.
As the next SCM Representative, I firmly believe she embodies the qualities needed to truly serve her fellow SCM students. She is approachable, thoughtful, proactive, and deeply committed to representing the voices of her peers.
With her leadership, I am confident that SCM students will not only be heard, but genuinely represented.
